Earthway Farm Field Trip

We had a great time at Earthway Farms in South Haven, MN.  We got to see, hear, and feel many different animals.  We went on a hayride, made a rope, saw a puppet show and sang some songs in the barn loft.  Thank goodness the rain held out while we were there!  Check out the pictures below compliments of Jessica Kaufman.

Muffins for Moms

This morning was "Muffins for Moms" at PME.  I saw a few special ladies with their offspring.  Hope you enjoy the weekend!

We are beginning our farm unit next week.  We kicked it off today with an oldie but goodie, Mrs. Wishy Washy.  Check out our craftivity with mud poems!  They are hanging on our lockers.

Minnesota, our great state!

We learned about our great state of Minnesota.  We read about some of the symbols that represent our state like the Monarch, lady slipper, loon, Norway pine, and walleye.  We made a big fact book with a craft for each.  We also made a kindergarten mural.  Check them out.

April Weather Unit

Time to play catch up!  In April our focus was on spring weather even though it continued to snow and we had a couple SNOW DAYS.  Boohoo!

We spent a week focusing on each of the following:  clouds, wind, rain, sun, and the four seasons.  We read many fiction and non-fiction selections for each topic.  Students wrote fun facts in their "Weather Words" book as well as completed some cute craftivities.  Check out the pictures below.
