Ladybug, Ladybug

This week we spent time learning about the life cycle of a ladybug.  We read many non-fiction titles to gain important information about ladybugs.  We read a few fiction selections as well.  We made a ladybug life cycle wheel.  We completed a Step-up to Writing project stating three facts we know about ladybugs.  We also did a project for Eric Carle's The Grouchy Ladybug.  Take a look.

We also had a fantastic day at Northside Park this morning.  We brought a snack and drink with us, BUT had lots of time to play, play, play!

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

My little man

My little man, Jaxon, is growing so fast.  He is just shy of 7 months old and is already crawling.  Just wanted to share a little video with you all!

Donuts for Dads

What a busy day!  I almost forgot that it was Donuts for Dads this morning.  It was great to see so many families in attendance.  Here are a few that I captured.  Don't they look yummy?

Next week we have some wonderful events at school as well.  I hope to see everyone at the PME Picnic on Thursday evening from 5-7 pm.  There will be food provided.  Bring your family, blankets and/or lawn chairs to sit and visit.  On Friday, our class will spend the morning at Northside (Muskie) Park.  We will have time to play, eat a snack, and play some more!  All parents are welcome to join us from 9-noon.

Down on the Farm Part 2

This week we read several farm books.  We got to act them out, visualize pictures while reading, and make a class book.  See our hard work below.

We FINALLY got to take our turn at Earthway Farms in South Haven, MN.  We had a beautiful day.
OMG, did we get to smell, hear, and see lots of things.  I have pictures of each activity.  It will be like you were all there with us.  There is even a video of the awesome barn dance.
